Greetings, I hope you all are having a nice time. In this blog, I would like to share my learning reflection from Week 5 - Interaction Design class.

Introduction

Here’s the brief information about interaction design:

Intro	it is the design of interaction between users and products. (mostly apps or websites).
Goal	to create products that enable users to achieve their goals
Dimensions	Words, Visual, Space or Object, Time and Behavior

5 dimensions of interaction design:

1D: Words

Here are the attributes of good word selection, especially for interactive use cases such as button labels:

meaningful and simple to understand
no overwhelming or slowing down the users

It means, our language should be simple. For example, if we consider building an application and the language in UI is English, we must avoid using particular regional dialects and literary languages. Simply put, it means to use a plain simple International English language so that wide range of demographics can make use of your app.

2D: Visual Representations

We consider elements like images, typography and icons in our application.

It complements the verbose language and make the interface more understandable.
We, as human beings, highly admire images and visual representations.

Proper selection of visual elements is very important factor that influence user experience. A well functional and aesthetic visual element help users memorize the workflow of our application and cultivate our product or service as a part of their habit.

3D: Physical Objects or Space

Considering the third dimension, following elements comes under this category:

Physical hardware involved in the interaction. For example: joystick, keyboard & mouse, touch screens.
